Torre de Sao Lourenco ou Torre do Bugio - The fort was built in the 16th century and today is classified as a site of National Heritage. It is a wonderful example of Renaissance-style architecture.
Vasco da Gama Aquarium - The aquarium was built in 1898 and features more than 4000 different species of marine fauna and flora, as well as many different species of fish.
Old Automobile Pre-museum - The museum features a very interesting display of 40 old cars, as well as motorbikes and bicycles which were manufactured during the 20th century.
Forte do Areeiro - The fort was originally built to protect the area from enemy ships which sailed the banks of the Tagus River. It features a rectangular shape and is mounted with four cannons.
Forte de Sao Juliao da Barra - Today the fort is considered a National Heritage site. It offers a large field of vision over the Tagus area and the cliffs of Boca do Inferno. |
